My ears are bleeding and I REALLY, REALLY, LIKE IT – Pour Habit at SSMF

I had the pleasure of seeing Pour Habit for the first time tonight at the Roxy. I have to start by saying that these guys are amazingly insane and they ruled onstage. Pour Habit is a punk band from Compton, California and they rock to some wild shit. Their set was furious and fast with lyrics like “it’s not my fault your fucking girlfriend likes me” and the f bomb being thrown around like nobody’s business. Everyone in the band was drenched in sweat, with vocalist Chuck Green sprinting back and forth in stage, and jumping off into the crowd.

Their energy quickly created a mosh pit, and the venue was packed with enthusiastic fans. They are the epitome of I don’t give a fuck punk rock attitude, allowing fans onstage to scream along and stumble around with them. Their audience participation was at an all time high and they had the craziest onstage antics on the strip last night.

They played a fast paced traditional punk set for the most part, but mixed up a couple of the songs with some reggae. Pour Habit brought more energy then I have seen in a while with tons of in your face screaming, riling up everybody in the building. I love loved loved their set!! If punk is your thing, they are an absolute must to follow. I walked out with my adrenaline pumping, ears practically bleeding, and a big smile on my face.
